 The Hospital provides a van to transport patients from the hospital to the CME, please, inquire at the reception.

The emergency room has one of the main Trauma and Burns Centers in the country and has staff on duty 24 hours a day. The emergency room has exclusive offices for gynecology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and otolaryngology. ​

Yes, the Hospital has parking space for patients, companions and doctors with valet parking at the main entrance – R. Peixoto Gomide, 545

The Specialized Medicine Center also has parking. Access is provided at Rua Herculano de Freitas, 398 – from 8:00 am to 8 pm. ​

​​​​​​Are companions entitled to meals?

At the time of hospitalization, it is verified whether the agreement/plan authorizes the coverage of the meal to the companion, if authorized during hospitalization, breakfast/lunch and dinner will be served. Along with the meal, a command is always given identifying the meal offered. For agreements that release the companion's meal via reimbursement, it is necessary to request the meal to the nutrition sector with payment at the patient's discharge. The refund amount is informed to the member by telephone contact.

​​​​​​What are the services offered by the Hospitality?

Indication of hotels and flats, restaurants, region guide, beauty services, flower shop, newsstand, hair dryer loan, delivery of a drawing kit for hospitalized children and birthday action (only if the patient's diet is without restrictions). ​

​​​​​​I am not able to visit a friend or family member, may I send a message of support? 

Yes. You may access the website, choose a card, and write a message. The hotel/amenity staff will print the card and hand it to the inpatient. Click here to send your card. ​

​​​​​​Does Hospital Nove de Julho offer aesthetic services?

We provide manicure, hairdressing and barbershop services for companions and patients (according to medical clearance), from Monday to Wednesday, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, always with a previously scheduled time. You can request services directly from the hotel staff through extension 6011​

​​​​​​Does Hospital Nove de Julho hold masses? 

Yes. Masses are held in the last week of each month and patients and caregivers are invited to participate. Notices are distributed in the elevators and the invitation is reinforced by the Hospitality team. ​

Yes. The blood bank service takes place from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. ​

No

​​​​​​Does the hospital have pediatric care?

Yes. Hospital Nove de Julho has a highly qualified team in pediatrics in its children's emergency room, located at R. Peixoto Gomide, 625. ​

​​​​​​How do I recover lost objects?

If you have lost something on the premises of Hospital Nove de Julho or the Specialized Medicine Center, please, send an email to percaseachados@h9j.com.br or call 11 3191-6270.  The objects found are kept by Security for up to 30 days.

​​​​​​Can a child be a companion in case of hospitalization?

No. The companions must be individuals over 18 years of age. ​

​​​​​​If the parents are hospitalized, can the child sleep with the patient?

No

​​​​​​From what age can children visit the patient? 

Visitations are authorized for children over 12 years-old . There are exception cases that are evaluated by the care team. Please, reach out for the floor's infirmary for more information. ​

​​​​​​Does the hospital have adult’s and children's emergency room? 

Yes. With 24-hour care and coverage of the main insurance plans. 
The emergency entrance is located at R. Peixoto Gomide, 625. ​

​​​​​​Does Hospital Nove de Julho have an outpatient clinic for consultations and examinations? Where?

Yes. The ambulatory is the Specialized Medicine Center that attends consultations in more than 50 specialties, 12 reference centers and performs the main exams.  
The Specialized Medicine Center is located at Rua Peixoto Gomide, 263, within a few blocks from the hospital. If you need to go to the Hospital, we have a van that transports patients from the hospital to the CME and vice versa, ask at reception. ​

​​​​​​Is it allowed to bring meals from home to the patient? 

No. All patient meals are prepared under the supervision of a nutritionist who monitors the patient's needs and restrictions. During the hospital stay, the patient will receive meals (breakfast/lunch/afternoon snack/dinner/supper) specific to their diet. 
Never offer food to the patient without the consent of the medical team and nutritionist. External foods are restricted, with patient safety in mind. ​
